A set of three textbooks for teaching Chen Wenji. The textbook uses numerical notation.

The first volume covers levels 1-5. It includes easy-to-understand Chinese songs and many basic exercises such as string changes and ornaments. (Examples: Pastoral Spring Scene, Horse Race, Light and Brightness)

The second volume covers levels 6-8. It includes exercises for fast playing and key changes, as well as specialized erhu pieces in various regional styles (e.g., Jin Zhu Ma Mi Zan, Henan Xiao Qu, Meng Feng, etc.).

The third book is for grades 9-10. It includes etudes and violin pieces commonly played by professionals, a series of rhapsodies, a series of concertos, and contemporary pieces (such as "Tianshan Style," "Third Erhu Rhapsody," and "Zigeunerweisen").
